Hello everybody :)
Jutta, thankyou for explaining things so thoroughly. I can certainly
see why you have felt so frustrated about this. Your effort is
important, and the dicts are a resource of considerable value.
I don't understand, from your post, why you can't do this:

b) As there had been a much easier way to do things, I will just
mention that here:
1. Updates for source files go to me (the dict address, which could
be additional persons)
2. If the page head, foot or css have changes, a notice or a bug
report could be send
3. I test the entries, add new languages and adjust the program and
update the files on alioth directly, if everything is tested and fine.
which certainly sounds more effective, less subject to error, and
requiring less co-ordination and work, than other methods mentioned.
Is there a particular reason why you can't continue to do this?
As a contributor, I would really like to see my language shown on the
dicts page, so I can refer people from my language community to it,
put links to it from major Vietnamese sites etc. It would have
appeared in the VNOSS News already, if it had been available. It's
not much use for me to tell them, "Yes, I've done it, yes, I know it
sounds useful, um, but it's not there." :(
Perhaps I don't understand the technical situation properly. I don't
know. But I do want to see our contributions up there. I'm currently
encouraging new translators to add new languages to the dicts. How
can I do this, and show them some their time is worthwhile?
