Hello, everyone!

I recently posted about the Philippine Computer Society's "Digital
Pinay 2005" contest, a search ostensibly for future CEOs, CIOs and
CFOs but bearing a strong resemblance to a beauty pageant. (And not
even a very classy beauty pageant, at that...)

Well, thanks to the ruckus we raised
(http://del.icio.us/sachac/digitalpinay has lots of links), they
finally cancelled the thing. 'course, they spun the official
announcement to make them look picked on, but it worked. We got the
sponsors worried enough to pull out.

Yay. ^_^ See, you don't have to put up with nonsense.
