This package should be maintained under Debian Science team maintenance. According to the RFC for an R packaging policy at https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-devel/2003-December/028424.html I'd like to keep the source package name 'vcd' as the upstream package name. On the other hand I'm quite unsure if there are 2 or 3 letter names. In one of my former ITPs (sp) there is a conflict with sp - James Clark's SGML parsing tools. Any comments are welcome.
