Things missing before release: * Credit your much valuable patches in changelog * finalize debian/copyright (even if considered superfluous by some, I'd like to keep track of copyright and licensing for autogenerates files too) * fix location of documentation (lintian has hints about it) I must admin that I have not looked at your draft packaging. I have been working on my own for some time (on and off) and it seemed from your description that it was only preliminary.
