As a matter of fact, I have.

I have asked the [EMAIL PROTECTED] mail list about advice on the libraries [1][2] with some off-list communication. As a result of those responses I decided to first get some experience with packaging by packaging something smaller (and without libraries). I recently finished that so I am back to miktex-tools.

I got some of the libraries that are in Debian to work with the software, while others seem to be adapted to the project. I am still working on this.

I will see if I can upload a preliminary package (which is not at all done yet) this weekend.

Asking Texlive maintainers is a good idea (I will do this).

With kind regards,
Paul
