Package: wnpp Severity: normal I'm looking for someone to take over the SCons package since I no longer use it at work and therefore don't need to take the detailed interest in advanced usage required for that. The package is in reasonably good shape and upstream is generally responsive and helpful, and appreciates the testing coverage which inclusion in Debian gives them.
Any prospective adopter should be confident enough with Python to be willing to delve into the code which upstreams for other packages have written to wrap and extend the functionality of SCons - breakage in those is the major source of problems reported in the package (rather than issues with direct use of SCons). The package description is: SCons is a make replacement providing a range of enhanced features such as automated dependency generation and built in compilation cache support. SCons rule sets are Python scripts so as well as the features it provides itself SCons allows you to use the full power of Python to control compilation. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
