Thomas Themel is working on a mod_xinerama to replace the Xinerama functionality recently removed from Ion3. This hasn't yet been properly released but I expect it will be soon. The URL points to a mail with a trivial pre-release version. It will never be included in ion3 core due to the author's strong opinion against Xinerama.
