Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package : yorick-yeti Version : 6.0.2 Upstream Author : Eric Thiébaut * URL : http://www-obs.univ-lyon1.fr/~thiebaut/ * License : GPL Description : several plug-ins for Yorick
Yeti is an extension of Yorick (a fast interpreted interactive data processing language written by David Munro) which implements: * hash table objects * regular expressions * complex, real-complex and complex-real FFT by FFTW (the Fastest Fourier Transform in the West - version 2) * wavelet filtering ("à trou" method) * fast convolution along a chosen dimension with various border conditions * more string functions * memory hacking routines * more math functions (sinc, round, arc) * generalized matrix-vector multiplication (with possibly sparse matrix) * routines to query/check Yorick's symbols * support for reading TIFF images * morpho-math operators * ... This distribution of Yeti may come with several extensions (depending whether corresponding directories exist or not): * yeti_fftw - support for FFTW * yeti_regex - support for POSIX regular expressions * yeti_tiff - support for reading TIFF images I am packaging the new version of Yorick (2.1.02), which includes support for plug-ins, as well as some of the available plug-ins. Yorick-yeti is one (or rather four, actually) of them. I intend to split the package (as suggested by upstream) into four binary packages: - yorick-yeti: general purpose utilities; - yorick-yeti-tiff: support for reading TIFF images; - yorick-yeti-regex: support for POSIX regular expressions; - yorick-yeti-fftw: a wrapper for the Fastest Fourier Transform in the West, v. 2.
