As it stands now, there hasn't been any upstream work on it in a long time, and my impression from the last time I spoke with the author was that he wasn't sure when he might be able to work on it heavily again. It also looks like fixing a number of the bugs may require someone with more postscript expertise than I plan to acquire anytime soon. I have also wondered a bit about the current status of the domain. Is psutils still needed, or are there better, more actively pursued alternatives now? For example, can similar functionality be provided by convenience wrappers around ghostscript, as suggested in #159888? I don't know, but I thought perhaps someone else might. thanks -- Rob Browning rlb @defaultvalue.org and @debian.org; previously @cs.utexas.edu GPG starting 2002-11-03 = 14DD 432F AE39 534D B592 F9A0 25C8 D377 8C7E 73A4 --------------------------------------- Received: (at 329425-close) by bugs.debian.org; 14 Nov 2005 03:11:25 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Nov 13 19:11:25 2005 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from katie by spohr.debian.org with local (Exim 4.50) id 1EbUbg-0007br-91; Sun, 13 Nov 2005 19:02:08 -0800 From: Jay Berkenbilt <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Katie: $Revision: 1.56 $ Subject: Bug#329425: fixed in psutils 1.17-20 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: Archive Administrator <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Sun, 13 Nov 2005 19:02:08 -0800 X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 Source: psutils Source-Version: 1.17-20 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of psutils, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: psutils_1.17-20.diff.gz to pool/main/p/psutils/psutils_1.17-20.diff.gz psutils_1.17-20.dsc to pool/main/p/psutils/psutils_1.17-20.dsc psutils_1.17-20_i386.deb to pool/main/p/psutils/psutils_1.17-20_i386.deb A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached.
