I had originally intended to use this module in a script to detect outdated Debian packages of CPAN modules, but (IIRC) would up writing the script without it. Nowadays uscan watch files provide a general solution for all sorts of upstreams (not just CPAN), and I believe I've also seen some auto-generated lists for perl modules. The package description is: Overloaded version objects for all versions of Perl. This module implements all of the features of version objects which will be part of Perl 5.10.0 except automatic v-string handling. -- _ivan --------------------------------------- Received: (at 271435-close) by bugs.debian.org; 11 Aug 2005 20:21:53 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Aug 11 13:21:53 2005 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from katie by spohr.debian.org with local (Exim 3.36 1 (Debian)) id 1E3JUF-0005Gl-00; Thu, 11 Aug 2005 13:17:11 -0700 From: Krzysztof Krzyzaniak (eloy) <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Katie: $Revision: 1.56 $ Subject: Bug#271435: fixed in libversion-perl 0.45-1 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: Archive Administrator <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Thu, 11 Aug 2005 13:17:11 -0700 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 Source: libversion-perl Source-Version: 0.45-1 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of libversion-perl, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: libversion-perl_0.45-1.diff.gz to pool/main/libv/libversion-perl/libversion-perl_0.45-1.diff.gz libversion-perl_0.45-1.dsc to pool/main/libv/libversion-perl/libversion-perl_0.45-1.dsc libversion-perl_0.45-1_i386.deb to pool/main/libv/libversion-perl/libversion-perl_0.45-1_i386.deb libversion-perl_0.45.orig.tar.gz to pool/main/libv/libversion-perl/libversion-perl_0.45.orig.tar.gz A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached.
