Hi! As I'm also interested in beagle, I've investigated the current situation. Additionally, beagle (according to the Wiki[0]), doesn't work with DBUS ATM:

It's not listed on [1]. As for gmime, there are packages of gmime2.1; don't know if that is recent enough for beagle, as the Wiki says the CVS version should be used.
