Package: wnpp Severity: normal I request an adopter for the kernel-patch-2.4-preempt package. I don't use 2.4 kernels anymore so I don't use it.
Please note that this package has currently one bug concerning problem when used with PCMCIA cards. As I don't have such hardware, I can't reproduce the problem and a search on the web doesn't give me a solution. Please also note that the patch is not really maintained anymore by Robert Love, but new version of this patch can be obtained from the lck patchset. The package description is: This patch enables a preemptible kernel. It adds a far greater degree of real-time responsiveness to the standard Linux kernel, by reducing interrupt latencies while kernel functions are executing. . It can be applied to the following Linux kernel sources: 2.4.24, 2.4.25, 2.4.26 and 2.4.27. .
