(findutils is a essential package, and therefore should not be unmaintained at any time.) The package is rather small and does not require much work (even if you chose to maintain it well instead of just "ok" ;-) Upstream generally is very responsive and imho easy to work with. I've been keeping the code in CVS on alioth (pkg-findutils). cu andreas --EVF5PPMfhYS0aIcm Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: Digital signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) iD4DBQFBmkL0HTOcZYuNdmMRAiMPAKCG8KCBZ/2VIpJWKBjsu8erI/6dMACXf8Tk RYD98FoDjOjYgg2JdTrZUQ== =H0Ts -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --EVF5PPMfhYS0aIcm-- --------------------------------------- Received: (at 281566-done) by bugs.debian.org; 20 Nov 2004 08:11:05 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Nov 20 00:11:05 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from server.logic.univie.ac.at [131.130.190.41] ([9BdQvwOm5m9rJPdb0K+Dky0u9WIIRfOf]) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1CVQKn-0006qf-00; Sat, 20 Nov 2004 00:11:05 -0800 Received: from m-134-246.adsl.univie.ac.at ([131.130.134.246]) by server.logic.univie.ac.at with asmtp (Exim 4.34) id 1CVQKk-00009o-83; Sat, 20 Nov 2004 09:11:03 +0100 Received: from ametzler by downhill.univie.ac.at with local (Exim 4.34) id 1CVQKk-0000d4-4S; Sat, 20 Nov 2004 09:11:02 +0100 Date: Sat, 20 Nov 2004 09:11:02 +0100 From: Andreas Metzler <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Chuan-kai Lin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: Bug 281566 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: Offering help to findutils Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/signed; micalg=pgp-sha1; protocol="application/pgp-signature"; boundary="FCuugMFkClbJLl1L" Content-Disposition: inline In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> X-GPG-Fingerprint: BCF7 1345 BE42 B5B8 1A57 EE09 1D33 9C65 8B8D 7663 User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.6+20040722i Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-3.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00 autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 X-Spam-Level: --FCuugMFkClbJLl1L Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable On 2004-11-19 Chuan-kai Lin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I just saw your RFH on findutils, and I would like to help serve as a > backup maintainer (or co-maintainer) for that package. [qualifications] Thank you, sounds perfect. ;-) I've added you to the alioth project with all possible permissions (CVS commits, changing the alioth projet, &c) and will add you to uploaders. To bring you up to speed with development: There'll soon be a small, last 4.1.20 upload to sid targeted for sarge, fixing #176201 with Bob Proulx's help. After that I intend to upload=20 4.2.4 (currently in experimental) to sid. If sarge is delayed further we might get it in. cu and- with valid GPG signature -reas --=20 "See, I told you they'd listen to Reason," [SPOILER] Svfurlr fnlf, fuhggvat qbja gur juveyvat tha.
