Base instrumentation allows getting very basic system information via CIMOM infrastructure. It implements some basic CIM object classes, like Linux_ComputerSystem, Linux_OperatingSystem, Linux_UnixProcess etc. This package is part of my bigger effort of adding WBEM capabilities to Debian System. This package requires a working CMPI-compliant CIMOM daemon (currently only OpenWBEM is available as Debian package along with this package). Current status of this package is a proof of concept, which means that I have a working package which still lacks many of Debian policies.
