It is run as a damon in the session, similar to ssh-agent, and other applications can locate it by an environment variable. The program can manage several keyrings, each with its own master password, and there is also a session keyring which is never stored to disk, but forgotten when the session ends. The library libgnome-keyring is used by applications to integrate with the gnome keyring system. However, at this point the library hasn't been tested and used enought to consider the API to be publically exposed. Therefore use of libgnome-keyring is at the moment limited to internal use in the gnome desktop. However, we hope that the gnome-keyring API will turn out useful and good, so that later it can be made public for any application to use. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.4 Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 --------------------------------------- Received: (at 239548-done) by bugs.debian.org; 24 May 2004 12:53:19 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon May 24 05:53:19 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from ender.smtp.cz (out.smtp.cz) [81.95.97.119] by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1BSExD-0003dL-00; Mon, 24 May 2004 05:53:19 -0700 Received: (qmail 25806 invoked from network); 24 May 2004 13:00:58 -0000 Received: from unknown (HELO ondrej.sury.org) ([EMAIL PROTECTED]@81.95.104.4) by ender.smtp.cz with RC4-MD5 encrypted SMTP; 24 May 2004 13:00:58 -0000 Subject: already packaged From: =?iso-8859-2?Q?Ond=F8ej_Sur=FD?= <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Content-Type: multipart/signed; micalg=pgp-sha1; protocol="application/pgp-signature"; boundary="=-OLVKcGMsbNV3TsSTh5KC" Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mime-Version: 1.0 X-Mailer: Ximian Evolution 1.5.7 Date: Mon, 24 May 2004 14:53:16 +0200 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-3.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00 autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 X-Spam-Level: --=-OLVKcGMsbNV3TsSTh5KC Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable already packaged and I forgot to close this bug report... --=20 Ond=C5=99ej Sur=C3=BD <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> --=-OLVKcGMsbNV3TsSTh5KC Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBAsfA79OZqfMIN8nMRAp34AJ9UcRm26SBuyK64q1B4wkXUk6axywCbBEXf /ziOlKTjzIflHVtY3jQl7EA= =VUg7 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-OLVKcGMsbNV3TsSTh5KC--
