Feel free. It's not maintained upstream anymore, unfortunately. Sources are available in unstable, check out sourceforge.net/projects/gnomba/, and have some patches which probably should be applied to the package. Do you have a sponsor currently? If so, it's probably best to talk to them at this stage ...
