* Package name : harminv Version : 1.1 Upstream Author : Steven G. Johnson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> * URL : http://ab-initio.mit.edu/harminv/ * License : GPL Description : harmonic inversion - decomposing time-series into decaying sinusoids Harminv is a free program and C library for harmonic inversion: decomposing a time-series into a sum of sinusoids, including exponentially decaying sinusoids. It is an implementation of the "filter diagonalization method" (FDM) of Mandelshtam & Taylor, which maps the harmonic inversion problem onto a small eigen-problem (size proportional to the number of sinusoids). The FDM is often able to obtain much more robust and accurate solutions than alternative methods, such as an FFT, and this kind of analysis is applicable to many problems in science and engineering. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.24-20040211sgj Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C
