Is there any further information about the ffmpeg ITP? The upstream for my package inquired about ffmpeg packaging in Debian since their next major release uses ffmpeg and was wondering if I could package it. It sounds like there's potential patent issues but I haven't found if any of the patent questions have ever been answered. I've found unofficial ffmpeg packages that I suppose I could point users to if necessary.
