I'm not really sure whether this package just needs a new maintainer or it should just be dropped from Debian; it is almost completely unmaintained upstream, and there is a better competing package in Debian (gksu) which is more featureful, maintained, and doesn't depend on all of GNOME (which is completely useless in a program like this) The package description is: GNOME SuperUser (formerly Xsu) is an interface for the command `su - username -c command` in GNOME. When the user executes gnomesu, he/she will be prompted for a command, a username and a password. If the username and password are correct gnomesu will execute the command as the entered user. This can be very useful when using gnomesu in for example gmenu or the GNOME panel. - -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux darth 2.4.21 #1 Fri Jun 13 20:06:05 EDT 2003 i686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+7UkxwO+u47cOQDsRAuc+AJ9lnKccQe6kQDLUuA5Prfle8Ip5hwCffJBD KbYbMZeJAqE3VpQY5/oGAG8= =j4L9 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --------------------------------------- Received: (at 197578-done) by bugs.debian.org; 29 Jan 2004 15:22:36 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Jan 29 07:22:36 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from discovery.alienhosting.com [216.12.200.63] by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1AmE03-0005nL-00; Thu, 29 Jan 2004 07:22:36 -0800 Received: (qmail 5794 invoked from network); 29 Jan 2004 15:22:35 -0000 Received: from atlantis.ccs.neu.edu (HELO debian.org) (@129.10.116.41) by discovery.alienhosting.com with AES256-SHA encrypted SMTP; 29 Jan 2004 15:22:35 -0000 Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Thu, 29 Jan 2004 10:22:43 -0500 From: Ari Pollak <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031221 Thunderbird/0.4 X-Accept-Language: en-us, en MIME-Version: 1.0 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: (no subject) X-Enigmail-Version: 0.82.5.0 X-Enigmail-Supports: pgp-inline, pgp-mime Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_01_27 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=0.0 required=4.0 tests=none autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_01_27 X-Spam-Level: closing bug, as package has been removed from the archive.
