JSON Web Tokens are an open, industry standard RFC 7519 method for representing claims securely between two parties. It also included JSON Web Key and JSON Web Key Set support. -- Debian currently has libjwt-2.x. The v3 of LibJWT is incompatible with the API/ABI of previous versions, so it should be packaged separately. This will allow packages that use v2 to migrate to the new API. This new version also has more functionality with JSON Web Keys. -- I plan to package and maintain it myself.
