Hello Blair,
first of all many thanks for your effort!

Hi Daniele,

I've mostly finished the packaging of starship and built a deb out of it. Pretty
much shippable sans docs. However, I now strongly lean towards separating it
into its own packaging repo:

- debcargo-conf builds get .orig.tar from crates.io, where starship is stripped
of docs, not a good thing when users might frequently consult them for
customization. Its docs are built with Vitepress which currently is not in
Debian, but we still get the .md sources. Otherwise we have to direct users to
online docs, e.g. https://starship.rs/
- Most of debcargo generated debian/ files are overridden anyway.
- I get to name the source package src:starship rather than src:rust-starship,
which is forced upon by debcargo. ;)

What's your opinion on this?

Your plan seems to me a good idea since it will make the package better for our users. I think that it's fine to ship docs as .md files at the beginning instead of pointing to the online documentation.

I'm almost done with my very busy period... I hope to restart contributing on the packaging side from the beginning of December.

Thanks again and kind regards,
Daniele
