  Version : 1.0.0 (not yet released)
  Upstream Contact: Linux Mint Project <r...@linuxmint.com>
* URL             : https://github.com/linuxmint/aptkit
* License         : GPL-2+
  Programming Lang: Python
  Description : Transaction based package management service

Aptkit allows to perform package management tasks in a background
process controlled by DBus. It is the continuation of aptdaemon
which is not actively maintained and only exists in Ubuntu.

Aptdaemon was greatly inspired by PackageKit, which doesn't support
essential features of apt by policy.

I would like it to be included in Debian 13 but I'm afraid I don't
have enough time to manage other packages properly so I'll try to
open this one in the hope that someone else is interested.

This will require the return of python-defer, if upstream will not
replace its use.

This is require as dep. of Captain: https://github.com/linuxmint/captain
