Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

Package name: python-wifi
Version: 0.3.8
Upstream Author: Rocky Meza, Gavin Wahl
URL: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/wifi
License: BSD
Programming Lang: Python
Description: Command line tool and library wrappers around iwlist and
/etc/network/interfaces.

Wifi provides a command line wrapper for iwlist and /etc/network/interfaces
that makes it easier to connect the WiFi networks from the command line.
The wifi command is also implemented as a library that can be used from
Python.

This package is a dependency of mycroft-core, another python application
that I am trying to package.

I plan to join the Debian Python Modules Team and maintain the package as a
part of that team. I'd appreciate any members of that team who would be
willing to help maintain the package after this initial packaging. I am
also looking for a sponsor for this and future packages.
