The package is currently in the Debian NEW queue (for two month) and waiting to be processed. I have asked a few times in #debian-ftp but it seems none of the maintainers had time to process the package yet. The package is at around rank 60 and slowly moving up the queue.
The package should eventually be processed and accepted into unstable (unless the package is rejected). So at this point it seems we can just wait until the package is processed by the FTP team.
