Hello Kyle, Since I had the opportunity to look into weechat-matrix earlier, I wanted to take the opportunity to share some info you can find on github (in case you hadn't noticed already):
Although the Python version is marked stable, it is no longer being developed. See the project status on the github page you mentioned in your ITP. The project is being re-written in Rust which has a dedicated repo [0] That rust rewrite will also pull some extra dependencies that will need to be packaged with the Rust team (for instance, weechat and matrix-rust-sdk crates at least).
