This package is already packaged by Devuan, and as so the Debian version will get an +debian1 extension. Current Devuan version is 3.2.7-6 from Feb 9, 2019. Latest upstream version is 3.2.8 from May 20, 2019. In order not to conflict with systemd-udev, as a start we will aim for experimental and then package it for sid. Later on we will have to decide on how it can coexist with udev. Thanks!
