Hi Pieter, The packaging process is a bit of a nightmare, as server includes and depends on a lot of css and javascript packages. Some of them are already available on Debian, others need to be packaged first, then all those files have to be deleted from sources to be released with Debian. Otherwise you will end up with the same thing you can download from urbackup.org, but with a lot of Debian Policy violation bugs (not sure, just a wild guess).
For the last weeks I haven't worked on the packaging (lack of time), but I intend to do it eventually. It will take a lot of work and time for sure, so if you can help go ahead.
