I thought I just have to copy these files into /usr/share/doc/libgnujaxp-java/copyright if not, I'll add the two files. | I still can't get gjdoc to work. Unfortunately upstream report that | there are problems when using it with saxon, which I think is what | libgnujaxp uses (although I'm not sure - I really don't know much about | how these things work) From /usr/share/doc/libgnujaxp-java/README.gz: GNUJAXP includes interfaces and implementations for basic XML processing in Java, and some general purpose SAX2 utilities. SAX, not saxon :-) gnujaxp is NOT for transformations, just to manipulate xml documents. | Upstream suggest that I use gnu libxmlJ, which is available in | classpathx cvs. Would you be interested in packaging this also? From the README file of libxmlJ: LibxmlJ is an effort to create a 100% JAXP-compatible Java wrapper for Libxml2 and Libxslt. JAXP is the Java API for XML processing, Libxml2 is the XML C library for Gnome, and Libxslt is the XSLT C library for Gnome. Currently there is only an implementation for the `JAXP API for XML Transformations' subset - package javax.xml.transform - and only a partial implementation. It should be complete enough to work for a number of use cases, though. See below for a list of limitations and unsupported features. I don't think I'll have time to do that but I can try to package libxmlJ (note that there is no release at the time)! | Have you had any luck finding sponsors for your packages? | Unfortunately I'm about to start exam term at uni so really don't have | any spare time. No, no sponsor at the time but I'll apply to be a DD next week. For my packages, there will be many changes next week... I'll try to build the package from the classpath source package. I'll be contributing to the classpath project and I'll also have to pass my j2dev certification :-) Will it really be hollidays? :-) Cheers, -- Arnaud Vandyck @ work FingerPrint = 82F3 45D0 F1B2 D79E D0BE 5188 E2FC C566 EEB6 B4C2 ,---- ----. | Linux Copy Party le 26 avril 2003 au Val BenoƮt | | http://vbstefi60.fapse.ulg.ac.be/lcp/ | `---- ----'
