This library provides a wrapper for several other Python libraries which together compile fonts from various sources (.glyphs, .ufo) into binaries (.otf, .ttf). Having this in Debian would allow building packages like fonts-firacode from source. Currently we can't build .glyphs fonts from source so they are in the contrib section.
