XBee provides an implementation of the XBee serial communication API. It allows one to easily access advanced features of one or more XBee devices from an application written in Python. It provides a semi-complete implementation of the XBee binary API protocol and allows a developer to send and receive the information they desire without dealing with the raw communication details. I use this package to build automata for my pupils and communicate with them by RF. This package is not yet a dependency for any other Debian package, but it may become one later.
