Hello, I'm the maintainer of remmina at Debian. The release 1.1.2 has no upstream support since one year and it is so buggy that I think to remove them from stretch. Now my opinion is to pack the new rc - release to experimental. Therefore I need the new freerdp - release into experimental too. Also I see the RFH bug for freerdp. You you want I can do the work and add me as uploader. I wish a nice weekend. CU Jörg
I just got in touch with my upstream contact again (Bernhard Miklautz). The main show stopper at the moment is (and has been for a while now), that freerdp (be it the current v1.x or upcoming v2) does not build against openssl 1.1, yet.
The required changes are non-trivial and it may be possible that we have to remove freerdp from Debian stretch completely, if upstream does not get that solved within the next couple of weeks/months.
The estimated effort for updating the freerdp2 code base (current master on github.com/FreeRDP/FreeRDP) is 1 person for 2 weeks.
