Package: wnpp Version: unavailable; reported 2003-01-17 Severity: wishlist I think it should be available in Debian because of growing number of programs which uses iksemel, because of it's advantage. It's better (I mean simplier and easier to use) than expat, and provides native support for some jabber functions - connection, messaging, events, and so on.

A simple, powerful XML-parsing library written in C. It's fast, has low memory overhead, and is used in a number of embedded Jabber projects. Iksemel has built-in simple Jabber support - it handles Jabber connections parses it's XML, and sends and receives Jabber messages. Of course it works pretty good for parsing other kinds of XML, too. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux saiya 2.4.20-ssj2 #1 sob lis 30 12:15:12 CET 2002 i686 Locale: LANG=pl_PL, LC_CTYPE=pl_PL
