Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name : ipsilon Version : 1.2.0 Upstream Author : Ipsilon Project <https://pagure.io/ipsilon> * URL : https://ipsilon-project.org/ * License : GPL v3 Programming Lang: Python Description : Identity Provider server and toolkit
The Ipsilon project implements an Identity Provider (IdP) that is easy to use and configure. . An IdP server allows users to authenticate against any identity provider whether that is a corporate LDAP server or even just local files or custom pluggable modules and allows applications to authenticate users while being completely agnostic of what authentication infrastructure is being used. . The server is a pluggable, self-contained mod_wsgi application that provides federated SSO to web applications. User authentication is always performed against a separate Identity Management system (for example a FreeIPA server), and communication with application is done using a supported federation protocol. . The protocols supported out of the box are: SAML2, OpenID Connect, OAuth2, Persona, OpenID 2.0. . It is easy to drop in additional protocol plugins. -- \ “One bad programmer can easily create two new jobs a year. | `\ Hiring more bad programmers will just increase our perceived | _o__) need for them.” —David Lorge Parnas, 1999-03 | Ben Finney <b...@benfinney.id.au>
