A python module with a function that takes a string and returns a slug for it that can be use in URLs and file names. Slug generation is configurable and also support trasliteration of unicode. I would like to have this package in Debian because it is currently the dependency of staticsite (https://github.com/spanezz/staticsite) that is not yet in Debian. I am not aware of any other slug-generating library for Python available in the archive. The package already works with Python3.
