Hi. Is there anything that can be done outside the ftpmaster team to make it easier to review the zfs-linux package in NEW? Personally I use zfs on my storage server, and would love to be able to use packages from the official Debian mirror instead of unofficial packages from elsewhere. Apparently Ubuntu already got zfs packages in universe, but I would like Debian to have it too. According to <URL: https://bugs.debian.org/686447 > the previous legal issues have been resolved, and thus I hope the road is paved to get zfs into Debian.
Earlier, Thorsten Alteholz told me that normally a long time in NEW means that there is something wrong with the package, but nobody found the time to write the REJECT-mail. But we have no clue what could be wrong, and thus do not know where to try to improve it. I know it is obvious from <URL: https://ftp-master.debian.org/new.html > that there is still quite a long backlog in NEW, and that you are processing it as quickly as you can, so I do not mean to interrupt to try to push zfs ahead in the queue on the expence of some other package, but just wanted to check if there is some way we can reduce your work load and from our end increase the chance of zfs getting past NEW. Please let us know if there is. We are happy to update the package and upload new versions if it make your review process easier.
