It is intended to be a drop-in replacement for the service at xmlrpc.denyhosts.net that up to now has been provided by the original author of denyhosts. This synchronisation server has been written in response to Debian bug#622697. The existing sync server is not free software, is not going to be free software (the author has been asked several times) and has been maintained skimpily over the past 5+ years. A sponsor will be looked for since I am a DM, not a DD.
