I intend to orphan the xflip package. The package description is: Flip your (or your "xhost +" using friend's) screen on either the vertical or horizontal axis or melt away the graphics on your display. Both commands, named xflip and meltdown, have a -planes option to independently act on individual bit planes. This version now comes with a new -oblic option which flips horizontally and vertically simultaneously. I once took over xflip for historical reasons: It is a very old toy program to play pranks via your X server, and I liked the idea that Debian has software with such a long history. But I have not used it in years, and don’t think its worth keeping it alive. We have better things to do. So I give it up for adoption, and will ask for its removal by the deadline of #800268, i.e. Nov 1st.
