Some progress on this ITA, I've put the package into a Git repo [1], even single maintainer packages should be gitized. The latest upstream tarball is already imported.
The current FTBFS [2] is a GCC 5 transition issue with Clang 3.5, 1.83b-1+b2/amd64 build with gcc-5 packages (gcc-5-base, libgcc1, libstdc++6) while 1.83b-1+b3/amd64 broke with the gcc-4.9 packages (libgcc-4.9-dev, libstdc++-4.9-dev).
