Package: wnpp Severity: normal Request: guidedog needs a new maintainer and packager, since guidedog is no longer part of Debian/Ubuntu probably because it has not been updated since Qt3. I decided to rewrite guidedog in pure Qt5, dropping the requirements for Python, CMake and KDE.
I would like to know where to upload the new source code. Can you please assign a new packager for this tool? Here goes some additional information on guidedog: Description: NAT/masquerading/port-forwarding configuration tool for KDE. Guidedog is a KDE utility which allows to use easily activate and configure your machine for packet routing, Network Address Translation/IP Masquerading (NAT) and port-forwarding. Guidedog was originally developed by Simon Edwards. Guidedog webpage is in http://www.simonzone.com/software/guidedog/ Simon's email si...@simonzone.com is no longer valid. I tried to reach any other email for him, but couldn't find one. The source package in Debian is in http://snapshot.debian.org/package/guidedog/1.0.0-6/ The original maintainer of the Debian and Ubuntu guidedog package was Paul Cupis <p...@cupis.co.uk> but passed away two years ago.
