Birdie is fast, easy to use and works great. It provides all the basic Twitter features and allows you to enjoy Twitter right on your desktop. Birdie provides a seamless integration with most modern GNU/Linux Desktop Environments and feels like a first-class app. Birdie is a Twitter client written with GNU/Linux in mind. It saw it's first release back in March 2013, followed by two incremental updates and is now at 1.1, it's best release ever. Birdie makes use of native technologies like Gtk and GLib to provide a pleasant experience to the user, while integrating seamlessly with the user's desktop environment.
