Linrad can be used together with a wide range of hardware from the 2.4 kHz audio of an ordinary SSB transceiver to the 2 MHz bandwidth of a Perseus, RTL dongle, and more. Linrad has native support for many types of hardware. Because of the flexibility Linrad has a steeper learning curve than conventional SDR packages.
