So At the moment, I have exact same version as the upstream "releases" are in the openSUSE:Tools repository. Why should version numbers diverge from what's used in openSUSE and upstream? I did request tags for matching builds to be pushed into the repository, but it doesn't look like github issues are being monitored: https://github.com/openSUSE/obs-build/issues/133
I just checked latest commits on obs-build upstream Git. Michael Schroeder now also added Debian repo support. I'd dearly suggest we consider updating the version in Debian to latest Git snapshot once it leaves the NEW queue.
Problem here is, that I am absolutely unfamiliar with the dgit packaging workflow ( :-( )...
Can you recommend a shorter reader on how to update a dgit package to latest upstream? I'd like to help out, but need a starting point that complies with your current method for obs-build.
