It has a different design concept, it is more close to IRSSI, whereas mcabber has a more its design. I do not know how mcabber is developed but profanity's upstream is great. James Booth is very active and helpful in every aspect, add good features and the code is superb. I know this does not sound like very "different" from mcabber I feel that profanity will find many users in Debian. There is also ekg2 in Debian for jabber, irc and gg networks. -- Dariusz Dwornikowski, Institute of Computing Science, PoznaĆ University of Technology www.cs.put.poznan.pl/ddwornikowski/ room 2.7.2 BTiCW | tel. +48 61 665 29 41
