As a bystander with no influence whatsoever in this matter, it seem obvious to me that the FTP masters ruling is that you all need to figure out this between yourselves and that the zfs-linux package will not be passing the NEW "queue" before you all agree on how to handle zfs in Debian. So the "wait and see" approach is simply to allow kFreeBSD to keep going as they are, and Linux to be without zfs support in Debian. Perhaps not the best option? Please figure this out.
