It is in 'moreutils', actually ;) Note however that at the moment, they aren't strictly equivalent, as cronic allows to set traces inside the run shell script which are then reported in the mail, which chronic doesn't. I've filed #735311 against moreutils, then. Until this is fixed, I'd tend to keep this RFP alive. Hope this helps.
