Might I suggest either: uploading this package only to experimental, not to sid; or to sid, but adding an RC bug so that this package does not get migrated to testing/stable? My apologies if this was already part of your plan. I know the warning is pretty obvious, but I think it would be useful to prevent users from ignoring the docs and relying on the current API as-is.
