Yes, I'm aware. My packaging effort will initially concentrate on getting the package into shape for squeeze and wheezy. This will obviously not be in the Debian archve. Indeed it seems reasonable to upload to unstable after 2.4 lands there. I'll give it a spin with 2.4 soon so we can give upstream some time to fix issues should they arise.
