It will not work nicely together and I have no clue how to do that.
If you want to have fortunes of *more than one* language just have
a look at /usr/share/doc/fortunes-de/examples. This shows how to
use English and German cookies. Extending it to French would be
easy. I think a more general solution would need a config file
which tells the script which languages to use.
My hint was just intended for a setup of fortunes-fr *instead of*
fortunes-de which would cost you just a copy of my mechanism.
