Ooops. I was following up on my own bug report without knowing. Ha! Two comments: a) Didn't Chris package that by now b) I no longer need it as I figured out that my problem was due to a fairly complicated and very robust Makefile.PL in DBD::ODBC I devised a simple patch which has been accepted upstream (of course without credits :-/)
