I just downloaded the source from http://planetmirror.com/pub/opennms/releases/latest/tar/source/opennms-source-0.9.9-3.tar.gz (19.5 MB) Web pages tell that building from source is tricky. Regarding the article in the German magazine "Linux Magazin" it is worth packaging.
